Moradi Doubles Through Gilmore

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jeremy Gilmore opened for 50,000 and Matt Ellis called in middle position. It was folded to Saied Moradi who moved all in for 226,000 total. Gilmore also moved all in and Ellis got out of the way.

"I've gone out of so many tournaments with this hand," said Moradi as he turned over {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

"You're in good shape," answered Gilmore as he flipped over {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

"You're going to hit," said Moradi.

He wouldn't though as the board ran out {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to give Moradi the double up.

Mesgana Tesfalidet Eliminated in 9th Place ($4,440)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Mesgana Tesfalidet - 9th place
Mesgana Tesfalidet - 9th place

Mesgana Tesfalidet went from over a million in chips to out in the matter of two hands. The first hand saw her get it all in pre-flop with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} against Dwight Farrell's {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Farrell would end up hitting quad kings when the board ran out {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{K-Clubs} to double up to over a million in chips.

On the very next hand, Terry Presley opened for 60,000 and Tesfalidet moved all in from the button for 465,000. Presley went into the tank muttering "two monsters back to back" to himself while he counted out how much he would have if he made the call and lost.

"I think you have like pocket tens," he said, thinking for a few more moments before making the call and turning over {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}. He was racing against Tesfalidet's {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and the board ran out {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to give Presley the pot and eliminate Tesfalidet in ninth place for $4,440.

Chadd Johnson Eliminated in 10th Place ($3,590)

Chadd Johnson - 10th place

Joel Nimmo opened for 55,000 and Chadd Johnson moved all in. Ryan Tepen was one seat to his left and also moved all in. "Dang, I wanted to call," said Nimmo as he folded.

Johnson had a big hand with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} but Tepen's was bigger as he had {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Tepen would dodge the ace when the board ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Johnson congratulated Tepen having been eliminated in tenth place for $3,590.

Tepen continued his remarkable run having started the day with just three big blinds (12,000 in chips), he enters the final table as one of the chip leaders.

Troy Repp Eliminated in 11th Place ($3,590)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Troy Repp - 11th place
Troy Repp - 11th place

Troy Repp moved all in first to act from the small blind and Mesgana Tesfalidet immediately started talking to Repp, seeming as if she had a legtimate hand and wanting to make the call.

"I have a pair," said Repp.

Tesfalidet thought for a few more moments and then made the call.

Repp turned over {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Tesfalidet said "you did have a pair" as she turned over {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Tesfalidet would win the race when the board ran out {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} leaving Repp to say "I shouldn't have told you that" as he headed to collect his winnings. Repp finished in 11th place for $3,590.

Ellis Makes Tough Call to Take Chip Lead

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We got to the table with approximately 110,000 already in the pot and the board showing {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Matt Ellis checked to the chip-leader Joel Nimmo who put out a bet of 50,000. Ellis check-raised to 125,000 and Nimmo took just a few seconds before announcing that he was all in.

Ellis leaned back and put his hands on his head. He stood up, took his hat off, rubbed his head, and put the hat back on. Exhaling, he thought for about thirty seconds. "I call," he said, seeming resigned to his fate.

It was a good call though as Nimmo had been bluffing with {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Ellis and his {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a pair of nines was in the lead. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Ellis merely needed to face an ace on the river to win the huge pot. The river was the {7-Spades} and Ellis doubled up to 1,100,000 to take the chip lead from Nimmo who still sat with a huge stack of 1,015,000 despite the hit.

John Reynolds - 12th place
John Reynolds - 12th place

It was folded to Mesgana Tesfalidet in late position and she opened for a raise. John Reynolds moved all in from the big blind and Tesfalidet snap-called with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Reynolds turned over {K-Clubs}{10-Spades} and would be unable to improve when the board ran out {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}. He was eliminated in 12th place for $3,590.
