Day 1b Started
Yesterday at the beautiful Downstream Casino Resort, 92 entries tried their hand at advancing to Sunday's final day of poker action with hopes of taking home the lion's share of the $100,000 Guaranteed prize pool at the 2015 RunGood Poker Series Main Event. By the time play ended, only 16 remained and it was Darren Attebery holding the chip lead with an impressive 250,000 in chips. He was joined in the top three by Duy Nguyen (205,500) and Matt Newcombe (184,000).
Today the turnout should be huge and we expect RunGood Team pros galore to take part. Among those we look to be seeing at the felt include Bryan Campanello, Bernard Lee, Jamie Kerstetter, Ryan Tepen, and Amanda Baker.
Each player will receive 20,000 in starting chips with 30 minute levels through the first 12 levels and 45 minute levels after that. Players will have until the end of Level 9 to reenter or register and there is a third flight starting tonight at 7 pm if they fail to make it through this flight.
Cards will be in the air soon and PokerNews will be here providing you with updates on all the poker action.
The PokerNews MyStack App is available for players and it allows them to directly update their chip count on the PokerNews Live Reporting page for their friends and family to see.
You can download the app for iPhone or Android now to get started. Then, create a new PokerNews account or update your current one to start updating your status immediately. Your followers can see all the live action that you're involved in.
Be forewarned, however, any abuse of the app will result in account suspension or termination.

And they are off and running as dealers have started dealing cards to the players. There are ten tables currently running so they're off to a great start on this Saturday afternoon.

Players are filing in slowly. Others that we've seen taking part in the early poker festivities are Eric Thompson, a World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner, and Mike Tang who took second at this event last year for $22,334. Team RunGoodGear Pro Benjamin Reason is also here looking to make a deep run.
