Carter Crackin'

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

After a limp from early position, Jeff Carter limped from middle position and was met with a raise to 1,500 from right behind. It folded back around to the original limper who made the call. Carter came along as well to see a flop of {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. After a check, Carter bet 4,000 and the preflop raiser met him with a healthy raise all in. Their opponent got out of the way and Carter quickly called, tabling {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}. His opponent turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and would need help to stay alive.

The {3-Clubs} turn and {9-Clubs} river would bring no help though and Carter sent his opponent packing.

McVicker Getting Nutty

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Jesse McVicker opened to 500 from early position and got five callers. The flop was {4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and McVicker bet 1,000 and two players, including Matt Newcombe made the call. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and McVicker checked. The third player bet 3,000 and Newcombe made the call. McVicker felt a check-raise was in order and made it 10,000 with the original bettor quickly shoving all in for around 23,000. Newcombe got out of the way, McVicker called and four diamonds were tabled.

McVicker had the nuts though and his {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} left his opponent's {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} drawing to one out. The {4-Hearts} came on the river and McVicker is now stacked large after the elimination and huge pot.

Papa Karn limped from middle position and Lauren Kling raised to 500. Karn made the call and the flop came {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Karn bet 600 and Kling made the call. The {4-Clubs} fell on the turn and Karn bet 1,200. Kling called and the river was the {5-Hearts}. Karn bet 600 and Kling thought briefly before making the call. Karn showed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the flush and Kling mucked.
