Drew Kinder Eliminated, One Kinder Left Standing

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Drew Kinder
Drew Kinder

Drew Kinder got all his money in the middle with {a-}{k-} against two players, Cory Aurentz holding {a-}{j-} and Daniel Snowden holding {k-}{k-}. We missed the action and arrived as the pot was being pushed. The board read {q-}{q-}{9-}{10-}{8-}, giving Aurentz a straight to take down the massive pot. Kinder was eliminated as the short stack, while Snowden was left with 11 big blinds.

With Drew Kinder's elimination, it will be up to Kyle Kinder to uphold the family honor. The elder Kinder brother is doing well, working a stack of 545,000.

This Is What $1,023 Looks Like

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Bill Sanders
Bill Sanders

No one is happier about being in the money than Bill Sanders. After Van Keirsbilck's pocket kings held against his opponent's pocket jacks, the tournament director announced that all dealers should finish the hands they were on and then hold up. The Bentonville, Arkansas native heard this and folded his hand, despite having just 1,500 in chips left. This, despite not knowing that another all-in confrontation was taking place between David Queen and Lance Hendricks.

Upon learning the news that he had squeaked into the money, Sanders celebrated and was cheered on and congratulated by tablemates Li Wu and James Traber.

"Hey," Traber said to event photographer Haley Hochstetler, "Take a picture of this. That's what a thousand dollars looks like." Beaming, Sanders held up his remaining two chips.

David Queen Exits on the Bubble

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
David Queen
David Queen

With 47 left, two players exited to get us into the money. At one table, Mark Van Keirsbilck picked up {k-}{k-}, facing a shove from a short-stack in early position. Van Keirsbilck overshoved and everyone else folded. His opponent tabled {j-}{j-} and failed to improve.

At an adjacent table, David Queen moved all in for around 60,000 and found a caller in Lance Hendricks.

Queen - {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Hendricks - {a-Spades}{4-Spades}

Queen was in great shape to double up and make the money, but the board ran out {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs}, pairing Hendricks's kicker for two pair to Queen's pair of aces.

Craig Dick
Craig Dick

We're down to 47 with the elimination of Mike Tang at the hands of Craig Dick. Dick held {7-}{7-} against Tang's {k-}{j-} and the two saw a flop of {k-}{k-}{7-}. Tang got all 130,000 of his chips into the pot and Dick called it off with sevens full of kings. The board bricked out for Tang, {a-}{2-} and Dick, who had dropped down from his Day 2 starting stack, is back among the chip leaders.

Scott Doubles Through Jones

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Shannon Scott
Shannon Scott

We arrived at the table on the turn to witness the conclusion of a hand between chip leader Jesse Jones and Shannon Scott. The board read {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Scott led with a bet. Jones announced all-in and Scott must decide whether to put his tournament life at risk. It only took Scott a few seconds to call off the rest of his stack and the hands were turned up.

Scott - {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Jones - {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

"That's a nice hand," Jones says.

The dealer completes the board with the {6-Clubs} and Scott assumes the chip lead as we near the money bubble.
