RGPS Tunica Horseshoe Main Event Profile: Joe Huey

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Joe Huey
Joe Huey

Joe Huey is another one of the Horseshoe Tunica regulars.

He is in the field today and says that he comes to the Horseshoe "too much" from Newport, AR, which is about two hours away.

He's been married for 18 years and has two kids and two grandkids. He's a farmer and says he farms a little bit of everything.

He just lost a small pot to Preston McEwen.

McEwen opened the button to 1,500 and Huey called in the big blind.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and both players check.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Huey checked again. McEwen bet 1,000 and Huey called.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Huey checked a third time. McEwen bet 2,000 and Huey called, announcing, "one pair."

McEwen tabled pocket nines, {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to win the pot.

As part of the Showbound season, the RGPS is giving players a chance to play on Poker After Dark. The first step in that process for Lee will be to make the Main Event final table.
