Chris Fraley Eliminated in 10th Place ($6,190)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Chris Fraley
Chris Fraley

Vicki McKee opened to 180,000 in the hijack and Chris Fraley re-jammed for 580,000 on the button. McKee thought for a few moments and then made the call.

Fraley: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
McKee: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Fraley was in a coin flip for his tournament life and quickly fell behind on the flop {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The turn {q-Spades} gave McKee quads, leaving Fraley dead to the river {2-Clubs} to become the first elimination at the final table.

All nine who remain are now guaranteed $7,696.

Raymond Yoder Eliminated in 11th Place ($6,190)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Joe Yoder
Joe Yoder

Action folded around to Donald Nimneh on the button and he opened to 100,000. Raymond Yoder re-jammed for his last 275,000 and Nimneh called.

Yoder: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Nimneh: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Yoder was unable to find a king as the runout came {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} and he was eliminated in 11th place. With his elimination, the tournament clock has been paused with 53:24 remaining in Level 24, just six-and-a-half minutes after returning from break for the final 10 players to rack up their chips and redraw for the unofficial final table of ten.

A seat draw of the final table will be posted shortly.

Nate Steuer Eliminated in 12th Place ($6,190)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Nate Steuer
Nate Steuer

Guanyun Cheng opened under the gun and action folded around to Nate Steuer in the big blind, who defended.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Steuer led out with roughly a pot-sized all-in bet, which Cheng wasted no time calling.

Steuer: {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Cheng: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Steuer had opted for a stop-and-go with a flopped top pair, but he was up against another top pair with a better kicker and a heart draw. The turn {2-Clubs} and river {5-Hearts} did not improve him, ultimately giving Cheng a flush en route to his departure from the tournament in 12th place — another deep run after he was the champion of the RGPS Council Bluffs $420 Golden Ticket Main Event this past November.

Shem Yusuf Eliminated in 13th Place ($5,038)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Shem Yusuf
Shem Yusuf

Shem Yusuf was in the big blind and saw an open to 65,000 and a call before Nick Barksdale three-bet to 220,000 in the small blind. Yusuf re-jammed in the big blind for a bit more than 300,000 and action folded back to Barksdale, who called.

Yusuf: {a-}{k-}
Barksdale: {10-}{10-}

The runout was all Barksdale, with a ten on the flop and a paired board on the turn to give him a full house and eliminate Yusuf in 13th place.

Dan Dykhouse Eliminated in 14th Place ($5,038)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Dan Dykhouse
Dan Dykhouse

Dan Dykhouse open-jammed in the hijack for around 500,000 and ClubGG Qualifier Vicki McKee immediately dropped two chips onto the felt thereafter from the cutoff. All remaining players folded.

"Do you have aces?" asked Dykhouse, given the quick nature of McKee's call. He showed {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} as McKee told him that she did not have aces. Instead, she had {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, the hot hand at the table over the past 90 minutes.

"That hurts," remarked Dykhouse, having been on the wrong end of a hand with pocket nines earlier for a large pot. Unfortunately for him, McKee's nines bested his sixes as the runout {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{k-Clubs} changed nothing and resulted in him taking 14th place.

Travis Bettcher

Rob Palacios opened to 90,000 in the hijack and Travis Bettcher re-jammed for 355,000 in the small blind. Palacios immediately announced a call and showed Bettcher the bad news.

Bettcher: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Palacios: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

"Nice hand," Bettcher acknowledged. "It happens," he added of his tournament fate as the runout {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Spades} resulted in him taking 15th place in the tournament.

Jeff Tebben Eliminated in 16th Place ($4,150)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jeff Tebben
Jeff Tebben

Jeff Tebben re-jammed for his last 200,000 in the small blind after facing an open from Donald Nimneh on the button. Nimneh called.

"You're ahead," said Tebben as he showed {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Nimneh tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} to give Tebben eight straight outs in addition to his two live cards.

"That's not the worst flop," Tebben stated. The turn came {k-Diamonds}, and he changed his tune upon adding diamond flush outs: "Oh, now I have too many outs. I can't hit," he said. He was right, as the board paired on the river {7-Hearts} and he was eliminated in 16th place.

With 15 players now remaining, all in contention are guaranteed a payday of at least $5,038.

David Caron Eliminated in 17th Place ($4,150)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
David Caron
David Caron

Mike Henrich opened to 65,000 in middle position and saw Dan Dykhouse re-jam in the hijack. David Caron called all in for 40,000 in the small blind and Henrich announced a call all in for less.

Caron: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Henrich: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Dykhouse: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

A jack appeared on the flop {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to put Henrich out in front, where he further improved to top two pair as the turn {a-Clubs} and river {4-Clubs} completed the runout. His stack was totaled to be 440,000, and Dykhouse was left with just 80,000 after paying him off.

On the next hand, however, Dykhouse quadrupled after preflop action culminated with an isolation-raise from Jeff Tebben's {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, which left him flipping for his tournament life with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Two kings came on the flop and Dykhouse was back in action.

Caron's elimination brings the field down to 16.

Isidro Sandoval went all in from early position for 100,000 and Shem Yusuf re-jammed for 560,000 one seat over. Everybody folded behind.

Sandoval: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Yusuf: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Sandoval was unable to find a three on the runout {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs} and was eliminated in 18th place.

Henrich Doubles, Reichard Falls

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Brett Reichard
Brett Reichard

Hand #1: Jeff Tebben opened to 65,000 in the cutoff and Mike Henrich re-jammed on the button for 180,000. Tebben called.

Henrich: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Tebben: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} and Henrich held to double.

Hand #2: Moments later, Day 1 chip leader Brett Reichard was eliminated from an adjacent table after open-jamming for 400,000 on the button and being called by Eric Kyle in the big blind.

Reichard: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Kyle: {a-}{q-}

Reichard stood no chance on the {q-}{8-}{7-}{q-}{x-} runout, resulting in his elimination in 19th place. Two tables now remain.
