Hot Start For Richardson

Paul Richardson's stack was already growing, but added a significant amount more following a hand with Aaron Messmer.

Preflop action started with a raise from the cutoff to 700 and a call from Messmer on the button. The small blind also called, but then Richardson squeezed to 4,000 from the big blind.

After the cutoff folded, Messmer called and the small blind folded, leaving the pot heads-up.

The flop came and Richardson continued for 2,600, which Messmer called.

On the turn, Richardson sized up to 11,500 and again got a call from Messmer.

After a board-pairing fell on the river, Richardson moved all in for Messmer's last 20,500 which sent him deep into the tank.

After a couple of minutes of deliberation, Messmer folded to send the pot across the table to Richardson, who is already approaching the six-figure mark.
