Katz KOs Ilyas

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Ari Katz
Ari Katz

Faced with a bet of 1,200 preflop, Sam Ilyas moved all in for his last 9,000.

"Who wants to give me 9,000?" he asked the table as he stood up.

The action then folded around to Ari Katz who quickly made the call to put him at risk and the cards were tabled.

Sam Ilyas: AJ
Ari Katz: 88

"Ok its a flip!" Ilyas said as the dealer spread out the flop of 622 to keep Katz in the lead. The runout of K9 was of no help to Ilyas and he was sent to the exit as Katz raked in yet another pot.

Good Flop for Katz

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a three-way flop of 428, Ari Katz bet 1,200 and was called only by Ben Ludlow to see the turn K.

Ludlow checked and Katz continued for 4,600 which Ludlow called and they went to the river 6.

Ludlow checked once more and Katz set out a healthy bet of 9,600 and was quickly called by Ludlow. Katz then flipped over J9 for a flopped flush while Ludlow grimaced as he flashed the K before tossing it into the muck.

Kalb Fills Up

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

After a raise to 2,200 preflop from Nate Kalb and a call from Ken Baime, the two players saw a flop of 225.

Kalb continued for 2,000 and Baime made the call to see the turn Q, which both players checked.

On the river 6, Kalb decided to lead out again for 3,000 and Baime thought about it for a few seconds before he tossed out the proper calling chips.

"Full house," Kalb announced as he tabled QQ for queens full of deuces.

"Yeah, full house is good," Baime said as he shook his head and tossed in his cards.

Ho Drawing Dead to Stroh

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Brian Stroh
Brian Stroh

On a heads-up turn of A798, Brian Stroh made it 10,000 to go but then Huan Ho quickly moved all with a fresh stack to cover.

Ho thought out loud for a few seconds before he made the call and tabled A9 for two pair, aces and nines.

"Oh wow, that was a mistake, I'm drawing dead," Ho said as he flipped over A4 for just a pair of aces.

The river came the meaningless 7 to award Stroh the big pot for a double-up. Ho was then left with only a few blinds and moved all in the very next hand with deuce-three offsuit but could not get there against Ari Katz'z pocket sixes and was sent to the registration desk.
