The Rungood Poker Series has made its return to The Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno, Nevada. This iteration of the series sees a total of nine ring events running from April 23rd-28th.

The first of two bounty events this stop kicked off as players were awarded two green chips totaling out to $50 after every elimination. This event pulled out a total of 43 players, creating a prizepool of $6,450 to play for.

Action played for 10 hours and as the dust settled it was William “Liam” Gannon who ended up taking down his first RGPS ring after beating Lance Howell heads up, collecting 6 bounties along the way.

This was Gannon’s 7th RGPS final table and second appearance heads up after losing to Brian Winter at RGPS Tulsa back in November of last year. Gannon had taken a small break from poker earlier in the year to star in The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company’s production of Ruddigore in Chicago, where he played Robin Oakapple.

Gannon becomes the third player this stop to secure an invitation to The Dream Seat Invitational at Thunder Valley in November, a trip he is very happy to make.
