Paggeot Picked off, but Returns to the Fight

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a heads-up turn of Q65, there was around 6,000 in the pot when Corey Paggeot bet 4,000 and was called by Phil Ambrosetti.

When the river fell the 7, putting a four-liner to the straight, Paggeot moved all in for 14,300. After some head-scratching, Ambrosetti flicked in a chip to call and was shown J10 by Paggeot for just jack-high. Ambrosetti then rolled over 55 for a flopped set of fives to take down the pot, which eliminated Paggeot.

Not to worry, however, as Paggeot has already re-entered the tournament with a fresh stack.

Cincotta Saved on the River

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Short-stacked Mark Cincotta moved all in preflop and then Rodney Chan shoved over the top for a successful isolation.

Cincotta sighed and flipped over AJ but was dominated by Chan's AQ.

Miraculously, with one foot already out the door, the runout came 24K8J for Cincotta to hit the jack on the river to stay alive, which left Chan shaking his head.
