Day 2 of the PokerStars 2020 SCOOP 74-M: $1,050 Main Event kicks off at 1:05 p.m. EST where the 1,990 players out of 6,038 entries from Day 1 will join the players who registered late or reentered before the start of the day. All those entries ensured that the $5,000,000 guarantee was easily surpassed as it created a prize pool of $6,038,000 and that number is only growing as the end of registration nears.
Coming back into Day 2 with the chip lead is "Fenryr03" from Moldova with 1,565,493. Just behind them in the chip count leader board are "ThEcLaiMEer" (1,555,349), "IHackedRNG" (1,319,263), "KissMyAcePlz" (1,294,402), and "sangnv" with 1.269.594 in chips.
But there are still a bunch of familiar names left in the field. Players like Patrick "pads1161" Leonard, Marc "Rowniwn" Radgen, Stevan "random_chu" Chew, Damian "pampa27" Salas, Michael "merla888" Gathy, Adrian "Amadi_17" Mateos, Ignat "0Human0" Liviu, Pablo "elmelogno4" Melogno, Daniil "Dancer King" Kiselev, Florencio "immortalite3" Campomanes, Simon "Simon1471" Higgins, Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves, and Artur "mararthur1" Martirosyan bagged big on Day 1 and are looking to add even more chips to their stacks.
The PokerStars Ambassadors, Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis (334,232), Mikhail "innerpsy" Shalamov (207,107), Ben "Spraggy" Spragg (121,740), and Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand (87,753) will be back in full force with Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas having reentered after play ended on Day 1.
When Day 2 resumes, all players will start with Level 17 which features a small blind of 3,000, big blind of 6,000, and a running ante of 750. The level duration will be 20 minutes each throughout the tournament and play will continue until there are 80 players left for Day 3.
