Demmerley Flushed Out

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Four players went to a flop of {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and D.J. MacKinnon checked. The next player over moved all in for 10,000, Art Demmerley called, and the other two players got out of the way.

Demmerley: {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Seat 3: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Demmerley was in control with his pair and straight draw and even had a blocker to his opponent's gutshot draw. However, the board ran out {K-Diamonds} and {3-Diamonds} to give the other player a runner-runner flush and the double. Despite the loss, Demmerley is still sitting pretty with more than 50,000.

Raimondi Doubles Without Seeing Turn or River

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a flop of {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, Peter Raimondi bet 1,100 and Event #1 champ Scott Hosbach moved all in for 13,450. Raimondi snap-called for a total of 12,950 and tabled the {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a flopped flush. Hosbach tossed his cards into the muck and Raimondi was shipped the pot without a turn or river sweat.

Napierala Busts One

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a flop of {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Blake Napierala and another player checked over to Brett Short who bet 1,100. The other player called from the small blind and Napierala raised to 4,100. Short folded, and after some thought the other player moved all in. Napierala quickly called.

Seat 8: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Napierala: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

Napierala needed a spade and the {8-Spades} arrived on the turn to give him an unbeatable flush. The meaningless {9-Hearts} completed the board and Napierala increased his stack to 48,000.
