Perennial Seneca Niagara contender Nicholas Goetz is at it again.
He flopped a set against a flush, turned a boat and got it in, and now has over 100,000 chips and a spot among the leaders heading into the late levels.
[Removed:339] had moved into the chip lead on over 200,000 when he got embroiled in a three-way pot with Paul McLean and a third player.
They checked a flop to him with about 16,000 in the middle already and [Removed:340] led for 7,500. Only McLean called and the turn came the . McLean check-called a 14,000-chip Elahge bet on this street and they moved on to the river.
McLean checked again, then called after a brief pause for thought when [Removed:340] bet 23,000.
"Queen-high," claimed [Removed:340], as McLean showed and took it down.
[Removed:340] is now in a dead heat with Jimmy Thomson for the lead and McLean is closely in tow.
Louis Ortiz has joined the log jam at the top of the chip counts, flopping top two and getting it in against Darryl Bagley with a pair and a turned flush draw.
Ortiz faded danger on the river, leaving him stacked and Bagley on life support. He busted unceremoniously a few hands later.
