In Saturday's $500 No Limit Hold'em event, Bruce Pace shot up the leaderboard like a rocket in the early part of the day.
When asked how he managed to do it, the affable character in a Texas Longhorns hat said he could hardly remember.
Today seems a lot like yesterday for Pace as he once again finds himself among the early leaders with little in the way of explanation.
However, we did see him call a raise from the small blind with , flop an open-ender and turn a straight to drag one decent pot.
Unfortunately Pace's run-good ran out and he finished short of the money Saturday. Obviously he's hoping today will end differently.

With registration and re-entry now closed the tournament staff have released prizepool information for this event.
A grand total of 135 entries created a $33,986 prizepool from which 15 places will be paid.
This includes $578 for 15th and $9,514 for the winner.
