In the first hand of the new level, Nick Sissou raised to 10,000 from under the gun. Rayhaan Adam called on the button and Nic Ioannoy also came along from the big blind. The 8♠5♠3♠ flop was checked to Adam and he moved all-in for around 40,000. Ioannoy folded and Sissou snap-called.

Sissou's flopped flush was out in front and Adam needed another spade to avoid elimination. No help came with the 8♦ turn and 10♣ river to eliminate Adam and conclude Day 1b with 12 survivors.

Nahum Lim raised and Roy Bitton just called to then see Bitton check-call a small bet on the 9♦7♥2♥ flop. After the A♦ turn, Bitton checked and instantly called the shove by Lim for what appeared to be around 120,000!

Lim was in dire shape with the kings and had just two outs at his disposal. The river was the insignificant Q♦ and Lim bowed out, reducing the field to the last 13 contenders.

Two Knockouts in a Row for Fourie

SM was all-in with the A♦Q♠ and ahead against Okkie Fourie with the K♥J♠. The K♠7♦6♣ flop favoured Fourie and so did the 8♥ turn as well as the K♦ river.

That brought the field down to the last 15 and the next short stack was all-in soon after in David Ng. Fourie and Darryl Shaff called to check down a queen-high board. Fourie flashed his 10♣9♣ for the flopped straight on Q♠J♣8♠ and Ng was gone with the A♠6♦, Shaff mucked A♥6♥.

"Good flop," Fourie grinned as he leaped close to the average.

As confirmed by tournament staff a few minutes ago, Day 1b is scheduled to finish with 12 players remaining or upon completion of level 15 - whichever of the two comes first.

Tebege Wins Big In Three-Way All-In

Adam Woolf moved all-in for 37,500 from an early position and Samuel Tebege called on the button. Nic Ioannoy then came along in the small blind before David Ng in the big blind announced all-in over the top. Tebege asked for a count on the shove, which happened to be for 195,500.

The German was covered by a small margin and called all-in while Ioannoy gave it some thought to then fold the Q♥10♣ face-up.

Karrim Knocked Out by Ioannoy

It has been a wild ride for Ahmed Karrim, who was among the chip leaders several times only to get knocked back by the high-variance late entries. Ultimately, his preflop raise was called by one of his former nemesis's in Nic Ioannoy out of the big blind. The flop came A♦5♦3♣ and Ioannoy checked, Karrim bet 8,000.

The quick shove by Ioannoy followed and Karrim eventually called it off for around 90,000.

Stephen Courtney had been eliminated on the table of death to reduce the field to the last 19, with one more elimination to come for the final two tables.

Over on table eight, Samuel Tebege bet the 10♦8♣7♥6♣3♣ river for 8,000 and David Ng inquired to see his stack before raising to 32,000. Tebege called after short consideration and was shown the A♣J♦ for the nut flush blocker, which he had beat with the 10♥9♥.

On the tail end of a blind battle to the A♥7♦6♣8♣7♣ river, Nahum Lim moved all-in for slightly more than the pot and Roy Bitton snap-called with the A♦2♠. Lim had the 10♦9♥ for a turned straight and doubled for 46,000.

"You chase an inside straight draw?" Bitton joked and Lim replied back "well, you raised with ace deuce".

Soon after, the field was reduced by one when last entrant NT eventually lost all of his chips.

On a flop of A♠7♥5♥, it checked to Fourie and he continued for 11,000. Shaff in the cutoff raised to 26,000 and NT then jammed for 52,500 on the button. Fourie folded and showed the A♦ while Shaff called.
