Rapid Eliminations Continue

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jennifer Abad
Jennifer Abad

With the stack depth being quite deep, the amount of elimination thus far in the day has been a surprise as nearly half the field has been trimmed before the first break has arrived.

After Christopher Sparks and Maxwell Young were eliminated, Jennifer Abad would follow them out the door as she shoved all in from the small blind. Soheb Porbandarwala had her sweat his cards with him and it was not what she wanted to see as he peeled the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and called, while she had the {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to miss the ace and send her out and bring the field to 19, and the average stack now even deeper at 81 big blinds.

Weng Sends Imejjane Into the Blender

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

From early position Badr Imejjane raised to 9,000, Alain Bauer called in the small blind. Bin Weng three-bet to 46,000 from the big blind. Imejjane then four-bet to 115,000, Bauer tanked a bit before he folded and Weng came along for the ride.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Both players checked. The turn was the {9-Diamonds}, Weng led for 114,000 which sent Imejjane into the blender. He looked uncomfortable and stewed over the decision while shaking his head. After a couple a minutes he folded and sent Weng the big pot.

Shing Spikes River to Shift the Chips From Ferro

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Philip Shing
Philip Shing

Action came in hot on the turn as it read {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. From the small blind Philip Shing bet 125,000 into an already large pot. Jacob Ferro spiked forward a full stack of big chips and announced all in, Shing snap-called.

Ferro had the nuts with the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} beating the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of Shing who needed the board to pair. And it did as the dealer procured the {8-Spades} on the river to dramatically give Shing the massive pot and deny Ferro what would've been a crushing chip lead well over a million.

"We chose violence" said Shing as the huge pot was pushed toward him.

Lulov Passes Foxen's Test

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
BRANDON LULOV
BRANDON LULOV

Action was on the river as the board had been completed to read {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades}. From the small blind, Alex Foxen shoved all in into a pot of 71,000 to put Brandon Lulov to the test in the big blind for his remaining 64,000.

Lulov struggled with the decision, playing with his chips and cards. It looked like he was on the verge of calling by holding hs chips and the next moment, the verge of folding by holding his cards. The inner turmoil continued for about three minutes before he slid the chips forward to call.

Foxen tabled the {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for nothing and Lulov showed the {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} for the winner and reeled in his new chips in relief.
