Steven Sarmiento Bags Lead After Day 1d of Main Event
Day 1d, the fourth of six flights in the Lodge Poker Championships Event #13: $3,000 Main Event has come to an end after nine levels of play. This flight attracted 82 entries, which played down to 34 players (~40% of the starting field).
The chip leader at the end of the night was Steven Sarmiento with 375,500 as he emerged with a large stack toward the end of the night and was able to continue the momentum over the line for the chip lead.

Second in chips was Darren Rabinowitz who bagged 291,000, Jeremy Becker was third with 242,500, Casey Brown in fourth win 222,000 and Collin Ball continued his nice series so far with a fifth place stack of 209,000.
Several notables advanced on to Day 2, including Chance Kornuth with 98,000, Adam Hendrix with 75,000 and Ki Rector was able to bag a stack of 32,000 after being as low as three big blinds in the final level of the night.
The surviving 34 players will return to action on Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m. for the second day of this event. Blinds will begin at 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 ante and the levels will increase to 60-minutes in length. A total of ten levels will be played on the second day and all who remain will bag up for Day 3.
