Harvey Eliminates Wilson

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Trenton Harvey
Trenton Harvey

Trenton Harvey opened the action in early position with a raise to 3,200. Brain Wilson was in the cutoff and moved all in for 31,500. It didn't take long for Harvey to make the call and the players turned their cards over.

Trenton Harvey: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Brian Wilson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Wilson was in trouble and it didn't get any better after the flop as it came {7-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The {10-Clubs} turn card gave him some hope but the {8-Spades} fell on the river and Harvey collected the pot.

Brinn Smacks the Heine with Quad Aces

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Cody Brinn
Cody Brinn

Cody Brinn raised to 2,500 from the hijack and called when MSPT Meskwaki champ Keith Heine three-bet to 6,500 out of the small blind.

When the flop came down {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Heine down-bet to 3,000 and Brinn called to see the {a-Diamonds} turn, which both players checked.

The {7-Spades} completed the board on the river and Heine checked. Brinn put him to the test by moving all in and Heine called off the 13,000 or so he had behind.

Keith Heine: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Cody Brinn: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Heine had flopped queens full but Brinn had turned quads. A shellshocked Heine wished the table good luck and then headed for the exit.

Flattery Avoids Showdown With a River Bet

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Tim Flattery
Tim Flattery

Tim Flattery was first into the pot with a limp, the player next to act in the hijack raised to 5,500. The action folded back around to Flattery who called.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Flattery check-raised his opponents bet of 7,000 to 21,000. The player in the hijack called and they went to a turn card which was the {3-Hearts}. Both players checked and Flattery bet 27,000 on the {2-Diamonds} river. After giving it some thought his opponent mucked his hand and Flattery scooped the pot without a showdown.

Byrnes Finishes Off Keeline

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Bill Byrnes
Bill Byrnes

HPT St. Louis champ Bill Byrnes opened for 2,500 and Darryll Jerred called next to act. Another player came along from late position before WSOP bracelet winner Ben Keeline three-bet all in for 14,200 from the small blind. Byrnes called and the other two players got out of the way before the hands were turned up.

Ben Keeline: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Bill Byrnes: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}

It was a flip and Keeline was looking to improve to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, that proved easier said than done as the board ran out a dry {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}.

Jerred Deals Big Blow to Keeline

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Darryll Jerred
Darryll Jerred

The specifics escaped us but we do know that Darryll Jerred doubled through WSOP bracelet winner Ben Keeline with the board reading {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

The last 32,200 of Jerred found its way in on the river and Keeline put him at risk.

Ben Keeline: {4-}{4-}
Darryll Jerred: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Jerred had flopped tens full and unfortunately for Keeline he turned the inferior fours full. Keeline was left with 14,200 after the hand.

Brown Shoves the Turn

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Derrick Brown
Derrick Brown

A player in middle position raised to 2,000 and got called by the hijack, Derrick Brown in the cutoff and the small blind.

The four players saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The preflop raiser continued for 2,000 and got re-raised by the hijack to 4,400. All remaining players called.

The {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn and action checked to the hijack who bet 10,700. Brown was next to act and moved all in for 28,500. The next two players folded and action was back on the hijack who said "I know you flopped a set", and folded his hand. Brown showed him the {3-Spades} and mucked his other card as he collected the pot.
