Wazwaz Toasted

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rob Wazwaz
Rob Wazwaz

Rob Wazwaz was just seen standing up from his seat at Table 3 as the pot was being shipped to Ben Larson, who was on his direct right. According to Larson, Wazwaz got all in with {q-}{10-} on the flop with an open-ended straight draw to Larson's pair of nines.

When all was said and done, Wazwaz failed to improve while Larson ended up with a flush to score him the knockout and send the April 2019 MSPT Canterbury Park champion home for the evening as it was his second and final bullet of the flight.

Fitzpatrick Puts Vang To the Test

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jason Fitzpatrick
Jason Fitzpatrick

There was a bit over 6,000 in the middle on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} with three-way action between Jason Fitzpatrick in the small blind, the player in the big blind, and Kou Vang who was under the gun.

Fitzpatrick bet 3,800 and received a call from the big blind. Action was then on Vang and he raised to 12,000. Fitzpatrick thought for a moment and then three-bet to 21,800. The big blind quickly folded.

Vang found action back upon himself and he took roughly two minutes to think about his decision before sending his cards to the muck, resulting in Fitzpatrick seeing the pot shipped his way.

Ghanem Nearing Six Figures

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Saad Ghanem
Saad Ghanem

The board read {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} in a limped pot preflop and Saad Ghanem checked in the big blind to put action onto the player who was under the gun, who bet 3,000. Ghanem check-raised to 7,500 and saw his opponent three-bet to 18,000.

Ghanem then four-bet the remaining pile of chips he had and his opponent thought for a bit before letting his hand go, earning Ghanem the pot with his four-bet shove on the flop.

Ghanem then looked back at one card and proceeded to table {2-Spades}: "Did I have you?" he asked as he stacked his chips.

Rockowitz Has To Wait for It

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jesse Rockowitz
Jesse Rockowitz

Jesse Rockowitz saw action folded to him in the cutoff and opened to 1,900. The small blind three-bet to 5,400 and Rockowitz took about 40 seconds to think about his decision before putting out a four-bet to 12,000.

His opponent thought for about 20 seconds before asking how much Rockowitz had left. Rockowitz moved his arm to display his remaining stack of around 40,000 for about 10 seconds and then moved it back to their original position. A minute and a half went by and the small blind leaned forward and slightly sideways to try to see Rockowitz's stack once more. Rockowitz moved his arms for a moment again.

Another 30 seconds passed and the small blind sent his cards to the muck, earning Rockowitz the pot without needing to see a flop when all was said and done.

Petronack Doubles Through "3 Putts"

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jeff Petronack
Jeff Petronack

Jeff Petronack was in middle position and opened to 2,000. Nghia Le three-bet to 4,200 on the button and Petronack called, taking action heads up to a flop of {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Petronack checked to Le, who put out a continuation-bet of 5,000. Petronack called, bringing the turn {j-Hearts}.

"I'm all in," said Petronack. Le called after about 10 seconds.

Jeff Petronack: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Nghia Le: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

"Damn," said "3 Putts" Le after seeing what he was up against. The river {a-Clubs} did not improve him to a full house and Petronack's stack was counted to be 20,500, which Le paid off to leave him with just over 10,000 as Petronack has doubled to over 60,000.
