Molnar Enters the Century Club

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Derek Molnar
Derek Molnar

Derek Molnar has just joined the select few over 100,000 in chips after winning a huge three-way pot.

With a sizable pot already built on the {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop and Scott Lennon already all-in, Molnar jammed his remaining 23,800 from the small blind. After some deliberation, Adrian Lopez called.

Scott Lennon: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Derek Molnar: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Adrian Lopez: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Molnar's set of tens had Lopez's top two pair in bad shape. The board completed with the {9-Hearts} and {5-Clubs}, giving Molnar a huge pot to vault him among the chip leaders, while Lennon was eliminated.

Vu Vaults over 100,000

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Timothy Vu
Timothy Vu

Timothy Vu just alerted the PokerNews team that his third bullet is indeed the charm as he's just won a massive pot to jump well over 100,000 chips.

According to Vu, he opened to 3,000 under the gun and was called in middle position by Robert Fortuno, and then three-bet to 17,000 by Luis Yepezcarmona. Vu called and Fortuno also called, leaving himself with approximately 8,000 behind.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Vu jammed for his remaining 20,000, Fortuno committed his last chips and Yepezcarmona called as well.

Timothy Vu: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Robert Fortuno: {6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Luis Yepezcarmona: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Vu's set of jacks had both opponents crushed, and he would hold on through the {2-Spades}{4-Clubs} runout to boost his stack to among the chip leaders.

Friedman Felted Again

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Adam Friedman was just seen heading toward the exit, and the player who sent him off to contemplate a third bullet, Adrian Lopez gave the details of the hand that eliminated Friedman again.

Friedman raised to 4,000 in early position off of a 7,500 chip stack and was called by Samay Bouakham to his left, then Lopez three-bet to 10,000. Friedman called for his remaining chips and Bouakham folded.

Adam Friedman: {k-}{j-}
Adrian Lopez: {k-}{k-}

The {j-}{3-}{4-}{8-}{3-} board could only bring Friedman an inferior pair of jacks to send him to the registration desk for a third time, while Lopez's stack vaults up near 100,000.
