Welcome to Day 2 of the 2021 MSPT Venetian $1,100 Buy-in $1.5 Million GTD Main Event
Today, each of the surviving players of their respective Day 1 will convene and battle it out on the green felt in pursuit of a Mid-Stakes Poker Tour title.
Of the 2,790 entries generated from Days 1a through 1d, just 396 remain. Of those, 297 will be guaranteed some cheddar, with a min-cash being worth $2,423. Should a player survive until the Day 3 finale – they will have a chance to compete for the top prize of $367,801.
The big dogs going into Day 2 include overall chip leader Sean Banahan (587,000), Max Corcoran (548,500), Kyrylo Kobzyev (523,000), Jeremy Koehler (522,000), and Michael Rocco (521,000).
Other notables still in contention include Joe Cada, Jordan Cristos, Jared Jaffee, Faraz Jaka, Aaron Massey, and Shannon Shorr.
Play is set to begin at 11 a.m. local time and will start at level 16 with 2,500/5,000 blinds and a 5,000 big blind ante. Players are encouraged to come a bit early to unbag their chips before play resumes. Play will continue until a final table is reached.
