Hayden Fortini has reentered after busting out on Day 1a, and Wayne Griffin from Maryland is also here playing. Griffin won his seat at Maryland Live! and he's up to 50,000 in chips.
Jose Rivas was all in for around 6,000 with the against the for defending champion Joe Serock. The flop, turn, and river produced no help for Rivas as the board ran out , and he was eliminated.
With that pot, Serock climbed back to 23,000 in chips, but is still slightly below the starting stack of 25,000.

Ebanks called, and the dealer landed the out on the river, pairing the board. The first player bet again, this time for 2,000, but Ebanks put in a raise to 7,200. His opponent called, and Ebanks tabled the for two pair, aces and deuces. His opponent mucked, and Ebanks picked up the pot.
With 43 entries on Day 1a, this event needs an attendance of at least 46 players on Day 1b in order to reach the $200,000 guarantee on the Main Event. Registration will remain open until the start of Day 2, and there are several notable names still yet to register today including Mukul Pahuja and first winner of the first event of the series, Amir Baron. There are also a few satellites running in the tournament room that will send a couple more players into the field, and then there are the possible reentries from those that busted on Day 1a.
As of right now, with 70 total entries, the 2013 PPC Aruba World Championship Main Event has seen an increase of over 125%, more than doubling last year's 31-entrant field. That's amazing to see and an excellent step forward in the PPC's quest to put Aruba back on the tournament circuit map.
