Ebanks Back Into the Lead Right Before Dinner

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Just before the tournament went on the one-hour dinner break for Day 2, Joe Ebanks moved back into the chip lead thanks to a big pot against RJ Sullivan.

Ebanks started the hand by opening with a raise to 6,500 from middle position, and Sullivan called from the hijack seat. Everyone else folded, and the flop came down {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Ebanks bet 10,200, and Sullivan called.

The turn was the {Q-Spades}, and Ebanks fired again. This time he fired 31,000. Sullivan stuck around by making another call.

The river was the {3-Diamonds}, and Ebanks reached into his stack before piling out a big bet of 70,000. Sullivan mulled it over for a minute or two, then folded, and Ebanks won the pot.

2013 Battles at the Beach Champion Eliminated

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

From middle position, 2013 Battles at the Beach Main Event champion Stephen Bokor raised to 7,000. Action then folded to Hayden Fortini on the button, and he reraised to 18,000. Play moved back to Bokor, and he four-bet to 37,000 with 40,100 behind. Fortini moved all in, and Bokor called off his remaining stack.

Fortini: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Bokor: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The flop contained a third ten for Fortini when it came {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The turn was the {7-Spades}, and the river was the {A-Hearts}. Bokor finished second best and was eliminated in 17th place. Fortini climbed to 268,000 in chips.

Seth Makes the Right Fold, But Peters Wanted a Call

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Jimmy Peters raised all in from under the gun for 30,400 — just over 10 big blinds. Action folded all the way to Andy Seth in the big blind, and he tanked for a bit before asking Peters, "Do you want me to call?"

"What do you have, like two sixes?" asked back Peters with a shrug.

"Something like that," responded Seth.

After another few moments, Seth folded and showed {5-}{5-}. Peters responded by saying that he did want him to call and showed {8-}{8-}.
