With about 12,000 in the middle and a board reading , Dan Smith bet 5,500 and Sam Greenwood check-called. When the completed the board on the river, Smith fired again, this time it was enough to cover Greenwood and it was enough to get a lay down.
Play has entered Level 9, the final level of the night. At the end of the level the remaining players will bag up for the night and return at 1 PM on Tuesday to play down to a winner.
Registration remains open and will continue until the end of the Level 10 on Tuesday afternoon.
With the total number of entries now sitting at 70 and late registration still open for another level, there is a possibility of doubling the previous mark set in Manila. Earlier this year a total of 43 entries were received in Manila and then Montenegro attracted 41 entries.
As it stands, this is already the largest HK $250,000 6-Max event for the Triton Super High Roller Series and may foreshadow a huge field for the HK $1,000,000 Main Event later this week.
Day 1 has come to a close with 52 players remaining. Ben Lamb appears to be leading with a stack of 184,300 with several players crossing the six-figure stack mark.
