Cao Rivers a Boat

Level 15 : 0/0, 40,000 ante

Ivan Leow limped in the hijack and Rui Cao checked. They checked the {9-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Spades} flop and Leow spiked a straight on the {10-Spades} turn as he held {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Cao had {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and bet 100,000 and Leow called. The {9-Clubs} river, however, gave the winner to Cao who fired 300,000. Leow made a disciplined fold.

Cao Gets Value With a Straight

Level 15 : 0/0, 40,000 ante

In a three-way limped pot, all players checked it to the [h9d6h7s] turn where Devan Tang hit a set with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. He led out 130,000 but, unfortunately for him, Rui Cao just spiked a straight with {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Cao called and the {K-Hearts} river was checked by Tang. Cao sized his value-bet at 200,000 and Tang paid him off.

Koon Hits a Runner-Runner to Survive

Level 15 : 0/0, 40,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Rui Cao limped with a suited ace and Jason Koon shoved all in for 870,000 with {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Koon ran into Ivan Leow's {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and the cards were turned up.

Koon was in terrible shape when the {7-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop came out, having only a 9-percent chance to stay in the tournament.

He got some hope when the {8-Hearts} hit the turn but he still needed to hit a perfect ten on the river. Fortunately for him, the river fell {10-Diamonds} and Koon dodged the deadly bullet, doubling up to 1.9 million.

Koon Goes for Triple-Barrel Bluff

Level 15 : 0/0, 40,000 ante

Jason Koon limped with {10-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Rui Cao checked with {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Koon went for three barrels on the {Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Cao paid 175,000 on the flop and 200,000 on the turn. Koon, however, jammed the river for 1,365,000 and Cao finally folded his two pair to let Koon get away with his bluff.

Jason Koon Eliminated in 3rd Place (HKD 3,630,000)

Level 15 : 0/0, 40,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon limped with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Ivan Leow raised to 340,000 with {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and Koon decided to peel the flop, calling.

The {8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop coolered Koon who ended up in a set-under-set situation. He led out 300,000 and Leow made it 900,000. Koon three-bet shoved for 3,085,000 million and Leow snap-called.

"Alright," Koon sighed when he saw his opponent roll over the top set.

The {7-Hearts} turn gave Koon a chance to chop the pot should a nine hit the felt but the {K-Diamonds} river didn't save him. Koon, who won the HKD 1 million event in Montenegro, added a bronze here in Jeju, earning another HKD 3,630,000.

Leow Makes a Savage Call to Pick Cao's Bluff

Level 15 : 0/0, 40,000 ante

Rui Cao called with {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Ivan Leow made it 380,000 on the button with {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Cao called.

Each player hit a gutshot on the {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} flop and Leow had a middle pair as well. He fired 375,000 in position and Cao check-called.

The {8-Clubs} turn gave Cao a flush draw and both players checked to let the {Q-Hearts} complete the board. Cao led out 650,000 with king-high and Leow made a savage call. Cao immediately gave him the thumb up and Cao's fine bluff catch helped him even extend his already massive lead.
