UKIPT Trophy

The PokerStars UKIPT is back for the fourth stop of the season. This time, the tour is being held at the Rendezvous Casino in Brighton. Day 1a of the Main Event kicks off today, starting at 2 p.m. local time.

The buy in for the Main Event is £1,100. Players will start the tournament with 30,000 chips and can take a maximum of three entries per flight.

Blinds start at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante and levels progress every 40-minutes. There will be regular breaks throughout the day, including a 45-minute dinner break at the end of Level 6.

A total of 15 percent of the field will make it through each flight and to Day 2. Those who do so will be in the money.

Earlier in the year, David Docherty took down the Irish Open Main Event for €365,000. Docherty is now at the top of the UKIPT leaderboard. More recently, Simone Andrian won the Main Event in Malta for €153,610. At the latest UKIPT stop in Blackpool, Tuan Le took the Main Event top prize of £53,630.

The UKIPT Brighton Main Event runs until Sunday night, at which point a new champion will be crowned.

PokerNews will be bringing you live updates of Day 1a straight from the tournament floor and following the event all the way down to a winner.
