Moumahdi Coolered Out of Main Event

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a {j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop Yacine Moumahdi moved all in for around 120,000 and was called by Kurt Bjorkland.

Moumahdi showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for a set of kings, but let out a cry of dismay when Bjorklund showed {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flopped straight.

Bjorklund implored the board to pair but the {8-Hearts}{9-Spades} river didn't help and he was eliminated.

Meanwhile Vladimir Nex is sitting on over 400,000 in chips with just four tables remaining in the Main Event.

Break

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Players are going on their final 20-minute break of the evening with 38 of 143 players remaining.

There are just two levels remaining in Day 1b.

Kostya into the Chip Lead

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Christopher Kostya is sitting pretty at Table 11 with well over 300,000 in chips. Day 1a chip leader Mantas Urbonas bagged 376,000 and that figure looks under threat with at least two levels left in the day.

However, the Paris Edition starting flight chip leader Michel Leibgorin bagged in excess of 500,000 so that will be the target if Kostya wants to bag the overall chip lead.

Are You Ready to Party?

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With the starting flights for the Unibet Open Main Event almost complete, the players who have already booked their places in Day 2 are looking forward to hopefully making the money and maybe even going even further.

However, tomorrow there is always the prospect of the official Unibet Players Party – open to all players – which is being held at the stunning Palais Maillot nightclub. The party starts at 11:45pm and will go on until late!

Just 49 Players Remain

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Just 49 players remain in Day 1b of the Unibet Open Paris Main Event from the starting field of 143. There are three levels left in the day before they bag for Day 2.

In about 30 minutes, the Turbo Day 1c will start which is open for new entrants, but is also the only opportunity for players to re-enter the Main Event. Players expected to enter include Patrik Antonius along with Unibet Poker Ambassadors David Lappin, Ian Simpson and Dara O'Kearney.
