Salah Eddine Taleb opened to 28,000 from the hijack and "David" defended from the big blind.
The flop came 10♥7♦7♥. "David" checked, Taleb bet 27,000 and "David" check-raised to 80,000. Taleb asked for a count of his opponent's stack and, after confirming that "David" had the covering stack, announced that he was all in for approximately 700,000. After about one minute of consideration "David" made the fold and Taleb took down a nice pot without having to go to showdown.
With three players seeing a board of K♣6♠2♥ and about 75,000 in the middle, Ugo Taurines checked from the small blind, Adrien Sanz checked from the big blind and Jeremie Canetti bet 30,000 from the cutoff. Taurines called while Sanz got out of the way.
The turn was the Q♠ and Taurines check-called another bet from Canetti, this time for 58,000.
The river was the 9♦. Taurines checked, Canetti bet 130,000 and this time it was enough to force a fold from Taurines.
Canetti revealed he had 7♥4♥ for pure air as he scooped the pot.
The bubble has burst in the 2023 Unibet DeepStack Open Marrakech Main Event. "Belmehdi" had opened preflop and Nicolas Maquerre called from the small blind.
On the 9♦8♥6♥ flop Maquerre immediately moved all in and "Belmehdi", who was covered, made the call.
"Belmehdi": Q♣Q♠
Nicolas Maquerre: 10♥8♦
"Belmehdi" was ahead but had to fade many outs from Maquerre's middle pair and straight draw. The straight came in on the 7♣ turn leaving "Belmehdi" drawing only to three outs to chop the pot to avoid being eliminated. The 5♠ river was of no help and "Belmehdi" was eliminated on the stone bubble while Maquerre took down a healthy pot.
All remaining players are guaranteed at least a min-cash of MAD 12,000 but all will undoubtedly have their sights set on the top prize of MAD 625,000 (approximately €62,500)
Salem Sahed opened to 20,000 from under the gun and Linda Hamdi, who over the last level had lost several big pots to Sahed to fall back to an average stack, called from early position. Mounier Acharki called in the hijack, Yasser Loudagh called in the small blind and Ringo Stimac called in the big blind.
The flop came 10♠4♠2♦. Action checked around to Hamdi who bet 40,000. Acharki folded before Loudagh put in a check-raise to 100,000. Stimac and Sahed folded while Hamdi made the call, leaving players heads up going into the turn.
Loudagh bet 120,000 on the 3♦ turn and Hamdi called.
On the Q♥ river Loudagh moved all in, covering Hamdi's remaining stack of approximately 100,000. Hamdi quickly folded.
Loudagh revealed 8♦7♦ for a missed flush draw turned into a bluff and dragged in a massive pot without showdown while Hamdi was left with just over ten big blinds.
