Hand #131: Bonomo Scores a Huge Double in the Largest Pot of the Tournament

Level 25 : 35,000/70,000, 70,000 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Hand #131: David Peters limped with {6-Spades}{5-Spades} but Justin Bonomo didn't let him see the flop for cheap this time, raising his {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} to 210,000. Peters called his suited connectors and flopped a straight draw on the {10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} texture where both players checked.

The {J-Clubs} hit the felt on the turn, improving Bonomo to a top pair. Peters led out 375,000 and Bonomo called.

Peters checked the {6-Clubs} river and Bonomo slid in all of his chips, over-shoving for 1.545 million. Peters used a time extension and eventually called, securing Bonomo a huge double in the largest pot of the tournament so far. Bonomo was suddenly in possession of two-thirds of all chips in play while Peters dropped below ten big blinds.
