Schulman Exits, Tollerene Doubles

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Nick Schulman shipped all in for 83,000 from the hijack and Dan Smith re-shoved all in over the top on the button. The blinds folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.

It was a race with Schulman holding {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Smith showing {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Schulman headed for the exit.

Across the room, Larry Greenberg opened to 13,000 on the button and Ben Tollerene moved all in for 111,000 in the big blind. Greenberg asked for a count and then made the call.

Tollerene was in a dominating position with {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} against Greenberg's {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}. The board ran out {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Tollerene earned himself a double up.

Chidwick Going for a Three-Peat

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick was another one of the late entrants during the break. Chidwick has just won back-to-back events in the US Poker Open and is now attempting to go for the three-peat.

Sam Simmons also entered the event but unfortunately, it didn't last very long. After just 20 minutes at the table, Simmons was seen leaving his seat and is now hanging out awaiting his dinner.

Smith and Holst Double Up

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Kristina Holst
Kristina Holst

At one table, Dan Smith shoved all in for 61,000 in the cutoff, which was followed by an all in over the top by David Peters on the button. The blinds folded and the hands were tabled. Smith was well behind with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} against the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} of Peters. However, the flop fell {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Smith took a commanding lead in the hand. The {4-Hearts} and the {4-Clubs} completed the board as Smith scored a double up.

At the table next door, Jake Schindler opened to 12,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 40,000 by Kristina Holst in the small blind. Adrian Mateos four-bet shoved all in and Schindler quickly mucked. Holst used one of her time extensions before sticking in her last 257,000 chips.

Mateos turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Holst was ahead with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Holst managed to hit a big double up after the registration period closed.

Riess Wins Massive Hand Before the Break

Level 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

The action folded to Ryan Riess on the button who raised to 12,000. Almedin Imsirovic three-bet to 42,000 in the small blind and Riess called to see a flop.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Imsirovic led out for 30,000. Riess just called and the {10-Clubs} landed on the turn. Imsirovic checked this time and Riess fired out a bet of 65,000. Imsirovic called and the {j-Hearts} paired the board on the river.

One more check from Imsirovic and Riess jammed all in. Imsirovic counted out his 140,000 chip stack and realized this was the last hand before the break. He called it off and Riess tabled {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a full house.

Level 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a board reading {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, Benjamin Pollak led out for 10,000 into a pot of 22,000 from the big blind. Isaac Haxton was in the cutoff and made the call.

The river paired the board with the {7-Hearts} and Pollak checked this time. Haxton shoved all in and Pollak instantly called for his last 45,000 chips. Haxton tabled {q-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a nine-high straight and Pollak was left with the bottom end of the straight, holding {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Meanwhile, on the table next door, Ben Tollerene got all 57,000 of his chips in the middle against Cary Katz. Tollerene held the superior pocket pair with {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Katz showed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The board ran out clean for Tollerene as he earned himself a double up.
