Katz Flops The Nuts But Snap-Folds River

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Cary Katz limped the hijack with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Tom Marchese called from the small blind with the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Sean Rafael checked his option from the big with {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and the flop fell {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Two checks saw Katz bet 60,000 with his flopped nuts and only Rafael called to see the {6-Hearts} turn. Both players checked and the {K-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Rafael bet 225,000 with his nut flush and Katz snap-folded.

Anthony Zinno Eliminated in 6th Place ($58,500)

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised the hijack to 90,000 and Cary Katz flatted from the cutoff. Anthony Zinno then moved in for 365,000 total from the button. Both blinds folded and Chidwick got out of the way.

"I'm just going to assume you have aces," said Katz before making the call. He was right.

Katz: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Zinno: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop was kind to Zinno and left Katz looking for runner-runner. The {2-Clubs} turn made it possible by giving him a flush draw, and much to Zinno's dismay, he hit it when the {7-Clubs} spiked on the river.

Stephen Chidwick raised to 90,000 preflop and called when Sean Rafael three-bet it. The two then got it in on the {6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop and Rafael discovered the bad news.

Chidwick: {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Raphael: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Chidwick flopped trips and scored the knockout after the {3-Hearts} appeared on the turn followed by the {Q-Hearts} on the river.
