Jean Conviens raised to 900 and Cloude Ohana pushed all in for a little under 2,000. Conviens made the call and two players flipped their cards.
Cloude Ohana: Q♦10♣
Jean Conviens: 5♦5♠
The board ran out 5♣K♥Q♣5♥3♥ to give Conviens quad fives. Ohana sat in his seat for a while longer as it sank in that he was no longer in the tournament.
Following an early position raise, Edmond Ghiulbenghian called in the small blind and Bruno Lemardelee reraised to 2,500. The original raiser folded and Ghiulbenghian made the call.
The flop came A♣6♦8♠. Ghiulbenghian checked and Lemardelee continued for 1,500. Ghiulbenghian glanced across at his opponent before making the call.
The turn came the 9♥. Ghiulbenghian checked again and Lemardelee bet 2,200, which Ghiulbenghian called.
The river was the 8♥ and both players checked it back. Ghiulbenghian showed J♦J♣ for pocket jacks and Lemardelee showed K♠K♦ for a higher pocket pair with his kings.
Balmex raised from the button and was called by Tonkity. The player in the big blind reraised and both Balmex and Tonkity called.
The flop came 5♦7♦6♠. Action checked to Balmex, who bet 1,200, which both players called.
The turn was the 3♠. Action once again checked to Balmex, who bet out for 3,000. Tonkity responded with a reraise to 7,000 and Balmex called. Two players went to the river.
The river fell the K♥. Tonkity bet out for 12,000 and Balmex made the call. Tonkity showed 4♥4♠ for a turned straight and Balmex tossed his hand into the muck.
The early pot gave Tonkity a healthy boost to his stack.
