Huge Pot for Andrejevic; Perez Out

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

When we arrived at the table, Ben Perez was already all in during a hand that also involved Mark Eddleman and Andy Andrejevic. The action was on the turn with the board reading {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, and the dealer was pulling in 550,000 each from Eddleman and Andrejevic.

The river was the {3-Spades}, and Eddleman checked over to Andrejevic. Andrejevic took a few moments before he announced a big bet of 1.2 million. Eddleman quickly called.

Andrejevic tabled the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for top set of jacks. Perez, who was all in sometime before the turn, turned up the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and was going to be eliminated. Because this was an all-in hand, rules dictated that Eddleman must show. The dealer turned over his hand to reveal the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, and then mucked it.

With that, Andrejevic scooped the massive pot to move to 4.1 million in chips, while Perez made his way to the payout desk. Eddleman was clipped all the way down to 800,000 in chips.

No Go For Do

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jose Montes has been building a stack all day and with every level that passes the stack grows. He now managed to become the chip leader after he busted Isaac Do. Do had been short to start the day, but played his short stack well making it down to just outside the top 30.

This hand, Do ran {a-}{q-} into the pocket nines of Montes. Do didn't improve and Montes added Do to the list of people he is gathering chips from all day.

Andrejevic Takes Out Tucker in a Stunner

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Andy Andrejevic
Andy Andrejevic

Andy Andrejevic knocked out Bronson Tucker in a 2.6 million-chip pot, and it was the previous hand that may have had some influence on the way it went down, so let's start there.

On the first hand, Andrejevic raised to 45,000 from early position. Cord Garcia called from middle position, and Mark Eddleman, who was in late position and had the biggest stack at the table, called as well. The flop was {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and Andrejevic bet 80,000, which was enough to get Garcia to fold. Eddleman raised to 164,000, and Andrejevic called. The turn was the {9-Spades}, and Andrejevic checked. Eddleman bet 381,000. Andrejevic checked back at his hole cards before threw them into the middle for a fold, but he was visibly a little frustrated with having to do so.

Fast forward to the very next hand, Andrejevic opened for 45,000 again, this time from under the gun. Eddleman called, and Tucker, who has previously won the River Poker Series Main Event, reraised to 120,000. Andrejevic would not be swayed so easily, and he four-bet to 345,000. The action was back on Eddleman, and he decided to fold. Then the action fell back to Tucker. Tucker didn't take long to shove all of his remaining 1.267 million chips into the middle. Andrejevic snapped.

The two players turned over their hands, and Andrejevic revealed the bad news to Tucker when tabled the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. Tucker was shocked and behind with the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The board provided no help for Tucker, as it came {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and he was eliminated. To be sure of the count, the dealer had to double check the chips to be sure, since both players had over 1.2 million. Tucker eventually turned to walk out, visibly shaken by what had just happened, and with that hand Andrejevic shot to the chip lead.

Busquet Makes the Right Call

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Olivier Busquet
Olivier Busquet

Picking up the action on the {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board, Olivier Busquet checked, and Zelong Dong bet 100,000. Erik Christensen was the third player involved, but he folded. Busquet called.

The river was the {5-Clubs} to complete the board. Busquet checked to his opponent once more, and Dong bet 150,000. After a minute or two in the tank, Busquet made the call.

Dong acknowledged Busquet's call was good, to which Busquet tabled the {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Dong mucked, and Busquet won the pot to move to 1.6 million in chips.

Eights Do It for Do

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

From under the gun, Isaac Do raised all in for 173,000. Adrian Garduno called on the button with the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}, and everyone else folded. Do was all in with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Do came from behind on the {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop to take the lead with a set of eights. The turn was the {Q-Clubs}, and the river was the {5-Hearts}. Garduno's kings went down, and he sent over the chips to double Do up.

Garduno Busts Oliver

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On the {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, Adrian Garduno checked, and Justin Oliver bet 45,000. Garduno check-raised to 130,000, and Oliver made the call after a bit of thought.

On the {8-Spades} turn, Garduno moved all in. Oliver wasted little time in calling with about 300,000 remaining. He had the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}, but it was no good against the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for Garduno, who had flopped top two pair.

The river was the {10-Clubs} to keep Garduno's two pair in the lead, and he busted Oliver from the tournament.
