The flop fell {8-Spades} {6-Clubs} {3-Hearts} and Zhmutski checked to Merchant who bet 300,000. A call from Zhmutski landed the {J-Diamonds} turn which he checked. Merchant upped his bet to 500,000 this time, getting a fold from Zhmutski after about 60 seconds.

Newcombe Rivers Flush On Massey

Action folded to Aaron Massey's small blind and he made it 240,000 to go. Matt Newcombe called from the big blind and the flop came {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} . Massey continued out for 275,000 and Newcombe called.

They both checked on the turn when the {10-Spades} fell and the {4-Spades} completed the board. Massey checked for a second time and Newcombe bet 545,000. Massey snap called and showed {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} . Unfortunately for Massey, Newcombe showed {A-Spades} {6-Spades} for a spade flush.

Cardner Doubles Through Zhmutski

Patricia Cardner opened by moving all in for 1,040,000 from under the gun. Peter Zhmutski quickly called from the cutoff and it folded to Jay Merchant in the big blind. Merchant went into the tank for over a minute before finally releasing his hand.

Zhmutski: {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts} and Cardner was able to score a double up while crippling Zhmutski to under one million in chips.

Zhmutski Doubles Through Newcombe

Peter Zhmutski announced 670,000 from the hijack while pushing all of his chips forward. Since he had 770,000, 100,000 had to stay behind. Matt Newcombe called from the button and when the blinds folded, Zhmutski bet his last 100,000 dark.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {8-Clubs} and Newcombe called with {K-Spades} {9-Spades} . Zhmutski led with {A-Spades} {3-Spades} and his ace high held up through the {4-Spades} turn and {2-Clubs} river.

Massey Dictating the Action

Aaron Massey has raised to 200,000 before the flop for the last four hands and was able to win three of those hands. Most notably he was called by Matt Newcombe, Jay Merchant, and Patricia Cardner. Massey fired out a c-bet on the {6-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {k-Clubs} and all three of his opponents set their hands sailing toward the muck.

At the current time Massey is sporting a stack of 5,350,000.

Patricia Cardner Eliminated in 6th Place ($97,580)

Jay Merchant limped from under the gun and Patricia Cardner made it 350,000 from the hijack. It folded to Matt Newcombe who three-bet to 730,000 from the big blind and Merchant got out of the way. Cardner moved out calling chips and the two saw a flop.

The dealer presented a flop of {6-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} and Newcombe wasted no time announcing that he was all in. Cardner called all in for about 1,000,000 for her tournament life only to find that she was behind.

The board finished with the {Q-Spades} and the {K-Spades} and she was forced to settle for a sixth place finish and a $96,580 payday.

Newcombe's Domination

Andy Robinson opened to 250,000 and was called by Matt Newcombe in the big blind. The flop came down {8-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades} and Newcombe check-called a bet of 275,000.

The {q-Diamonds} hit the turn and Newcombe took this opportunity to fire 595,000 into the center. Robinson released and Newcombe showed his hand to the table-- {6-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} , for nothing but the dummy end of a gutshot draw.

The next hand Aaron Massey opened to 250,000 from the button and was called by Newcombe out of the small. Jay Merchant three-bet to 575,000 from the big blind and Massey folded. Newcombe called and they both checked the {4-Spades} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} flop.

Newcombe checked the {K-Clubs} turn and Merchant bet 575,000 more. Newcombe moved all in and Merchant released. Newcombe is now sitting around 7,700,000 in chips.
