Huge Flip for 38.9 Million Pot!

Daniel Neilson opened for 1.2 million holding the 9♦9♣ and Michael Sklenicka three-bet to 3.3 million with the Q♠Q♦. Stanislav Zegal then folded tens on the button before Gabriel Schroeder looked down at the A♥K♦ in the big blind.

He opted to move all in for 20.1 million, Neilson asked for a count before folding, and Sklenicka called off to create a 38.9 million pot.

The Q♣3♥5♥ flop delivered Sklenicka a set, but the 6♥ turn kept Schroeder drawing live to a heart flush. Unfortunately for him, and much to the relief of Sklenicka, the J♠ river was a brick.

Gabriel Schroeder opened to 1.2 million to leave himself less than a small blind behind and Daniel Neilson called on the button before Michael Sklenicka three-bet to 5 million in the small blind. Schroeder called off and Neilson got out of the way.

Schroeder couldn't improve as the flop of A♦5♠5♠ gave his opponent a big lead with a pair of aces. The 5♦ turn had him drawing dead before the 6♦ river confirmed his elimination in sixth place for $400,000.

Rui Sousa raised to 1.2 million from the button only to have Michael Sklenicka three-bet to 5.1 million from the big blind. Sousa responded by four-bet jamming for 20.5 million and Sklenicka called.

Sousa was dominated but the J♥10♠5♣ flop gave him a straight draw. Unfortunately, a king was no good as it would give Sklenicka a bigger straight, so Sousa was looking for either an eight, nine, or running spades.

The 10♣ turn was of no consequence and neither was the 3♦. Sousa missed and had to settle for fifth place and $510,000 in prize money.

Matt Glantz open-jammed a stack of 16.3 million on the button and Daniel Neilson called in the big blind with a bigger stack.

Glantz had run into aces and needed a six. He got some help as the flop of 8♠8♥9♦ gave him a backdoor straight draw, but he didn't need it as the 6♣ landed on the turn to give him sixes full of eights before the 9♥ river improved him to a better full house.

Zegal Flops the Joint

Stanislav Zegal raised to 1.8 million from the button with the A♣J♠ and Michael Sklenicka three-bet to seven million from the big blind with the K♥3♦.

Zegal called and flopped the joint when it came down Q♥10♣K♦. Sklenicka, who flopped top pair, continued for 3.8 million and Zegal just called.

The A♦ turn was an action killer as both players checked.

When the 8♦ completed the board on the river, Sklenicka checked and then folded when Zegal bet nine million.

Glantz checked once more on the 3♣ river and Neilson bet 4.2 million after hitting a three on the river. Glantz called with his ace-high and saw the bad news.
