KrazyKanuck raised UTG to 40K. Lyle Berman called and from the small blind, Abe Mosseri moved all in for 328K total. Robert Wazelle called from the big blind. KrazyKanuck went into the tank for five minutes. He mucked, as did Berman.

"I hope one of you has Aces," Kanuck said, hinting that he mucked pocket Kings.

KrazyKanuck was infuriated when he saw Wazelle and Mosseri's hands. Wazelle showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} while Moserri showed {5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The flop was {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. The turn was the {K-Hearts} and the river was {7-Spades}.

"Looks like you mucked a boat," deadpanned Berman.

Mosseri headed to the rail in 46th place. He won $61,880.

Paul Lee Doubles Through Loi Phan

Paul Lee raised under the gun, Roland de Wolfe called from middle position, and Loi Phan called from late position. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Lee checked, de Wolfe bet 80,000, Phan called, Lee raised to 280,000, de Wolfe folded, and Loi Phan went into the tank for several minutes.

After a while, Paul Lee started talking, telling Loi Phan that he had to fold, because Lee would move all in on the turn. Phan continued thinking, and Lee called for the clock. About 30 seconds later, Phan called.

Lee immediately said he was all in on the turn, no matter what card came. He even turned his body around to avoid looking at the board. The turn card was the {5-Spades}, Lee was automatically all in for 594,000, and Phan thought for about two minutes before calling.

Paul Lee turned around and slapped down pocket jacks ({J-Hearts}{J-Spades}) for top set. Phan reluctantly showed {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, and he was drawing dead with top pair, top kicker. (The meaningless river card was the {Q-Clubs}.)

Paul Lee won the huge pot, and now has 1.95 million in chips. Phan took a big hit, dropping down to 595,000.

Big Hand

Mike Wattel
Mike Wattel
Robert Wazelle and Mike Wattel got into a big pot with a 125K bet on the turn, a 310K raise, and a call. Wattel made the bet with A-K on a {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board and Wazelle made the big raise with {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Wattel took a long time to make the huge call. It was check-check on the river and Wattel's top pair took down the huge pot.
