Another day is in the books here at the 2009 WPT Merit Cyprus Classic, and a bloody day it was. 64% of the 125 players who started the day were goose-egged by the time play was halted for the evening. The 55 who survived will return tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 p.m. local time for another (planned) five levels of poker.

Among the survivors were Team Full Tilt pros Allen Cunningham, Andy Bloch and Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson, along with Tommy Vedes, Antony Lellouche, Sorel Mizzi and your unofficial overnight chip leader, Nenad Medic (277,000).

Strangely enough, John Tabatabai, Phil Gordon, Jan Skampa and Ludovic Lacay -- the four largest stacks at the start of the day -- were all sent packing, in what was, for lack of a better word, a very odd day of poker.

Do join us tomorrow afternoon for our continued coverage of the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic, live from the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino.

Until then, good night and good luck!
