Charles de Haas Eliminated in 19th Place (€10,863)

It has been quite a level. In the space of 40 minutes we've seen no less than eight eliminations. Here's the latest…

Nicolas Levi raised from under the gun, then Charles de Haas made it 44,000 from the hijack seat. It folded to the red-hot Dominik Nitsche who reraised again to approximately 95,000 from the small blind. The big blind got out, Levi stepped aside as well, and de Haas pushed all in for a total of about 175,000. Nitsche made the call, tabling {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. De Hass had the preflop advantage with his {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

Then came the flop -- {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Advantage Nitsche. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {3-Spades}, and de Haas is out in 19th place. With 18 players left, Nitsche still leads, now with 1.26 million.

Majid Chiboub
 Eliminated in 20th Place (€10,863)

Majid Chiboub - 20th Place

Felix Oberauer opened to 20,000, and in the small blind, Majid Chiboub made the call. The flop came out {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Chiboub checked, and Oberauer checked behind. The turn paired the board with the {9-Diamonds}. Chiboub responded by moving all in for his last 43,000. Oberauer took his time deciding to call with {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}, but his ace-high was ahead of Chiboub's {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Chiboub needed to catch a king on the river to survive, but the {a-Spades} wasn't it. He's out in 20th place, and Oberauer is up to 380,000.

Patrick Viano Eliminated in 21st Place (€9,055)

Patrick Viano - 21st Place
Patrick Viano - 21st Place

After the table had folded to Johan Williamson on the button, the Swede checked his cards and decided to raise to 17,000. The small blind folded, but Patrick Viano of France decided to push all in from the big blind with his remaining 45,000. Williamson instacalled, showing {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, well ahead of Viano's {A-}{9-}.

The board ran out {K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}, pairing both players' kickers, and Viano hits the rail in 21st place. Williamson now sits with 625,000.

We've arrived at the next pay jump, as those finishing 16th-20th will all be earning €11,318.

Roger Hairabedian Eliminated in 23rd Place (€9,055)

Roger Hairabedian - 23rd Place

Joel Benzinou moved all in on the button, and in the big blind, Roger Hairabedian called all in for 58,000. His {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} was ahead of Benzinou's {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but the {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs} board smiled on Benzinou. He busted Hairabedian with runner-runner trips, moving up to 175,000, more chips than he's had at any point in the tournament.

This is Hairabedian's third cash at the 2010 Chilipoker Marrakech Poker Open. He also finished fifth in a PLO tournament and eighth in a no limit side event.

Suat Uyanik Eliminated in 24th Place (€9,055)

Suat Uyanik open-shoved his well-below-average stack of 70,000 from middle position and got one caller in Sebastian Homann from the cutoff.

Uyanik {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Homann {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

Looking for a four or some other improbable combination of cards, was Uyanik. But the next five came {8-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}, and Uyanik is out in 24th place.

Homann is coming close to joining Dominik Nitsche in the million-chip club after that one, now sitting with 980,000.

Easy Come, Easy Go for Pires-Trigo

Paul Pires-Trigo raised from the hijack, then called when Felix Oberauer shoved for another 119,000. Felix had the advantage with {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, but Paul's {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} was plenty live. Pires-Trigo's hand was even more dangerous after the {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop gave him an open-ender. The turn and river bricked off {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}, however, and Oberauer doubled to 295,000. Pires-Trigo is back down to 315,000.

Eric Le Goff Eliminated in 26th Place (€9,055)

Eric Le Goff - 26th Place

Eric Le Goff open shipped for 105,000 in the hijack. Next to act, Paul Pires-Trigo moved all in as well. Everyone else got out of the way, and Le Goff learned that he'd have to improve on his {a-Spades}{10-Spades} to best Pires-Trigo's {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Well, the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop made things interesting. Le Goff now needed to dodge an ace and hit another ten or a queen. But the {5-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river were neither, and Le Goff was eliminated in 26th place.

Pires-Trigo is up to 445,000.
