Alex Kravchenko is watching "Get Shorty" on his iPod, a good choice on the bubble right?
Alex Kravchenko took on erstwhile chip leader Antoine Amourette preflop in a small blind vs. big blind raise war. Amourette raised first, to 8k, and Kravchenko then made it 23,200. Back to Amourette who made a fiddly sort of bet which turned out to need slight plumping for it to be over the minimum amount. So 46,600 total back to Kravchenko. Instantly he moved all in (for 119,400 more) and after a little think, Amourette let it go. Kravchenko flashed the .
Iulian Iacob might have started today second in chips but he's gone out on the bubble bubble after reraising all-in preflop with but finding Steven Van Zadelhoff priced into call with .
The flop looked innocent enough coming but the mother of all draws arrived on the turn and Van Zadelhoff made both of them on the river leaving us with 28 players left.
One player will get nothing, everyone else gets at least €11,740.
With the bubble just one place away, every all-in is a tense one. Stuart Rutter was just in that situation and within a squeak of elimination, but was granted a miraculous river to save his bacon and give him 130k stack to work with...
Rutter moved in preflop over the top of Theo Jorgensen's raise to 8k (for 42k). Small blind Fabrice Tuil was the one who surprisingly asked for a countdown and then after a moment made the call. Big blind Ilan Boujenah looked for a moment like he was dwelling too, but had forgotten he had cards.
Jorgensen made the fake big stack grab, but then called behind. Rutter asked the floor if he could just leave, but was made to stay and watch.
The flop: It arrived after Tuil checked in the dark. "I can't promise that," said Jorgensen ominously, and in fact he did bet: 50k. That got rid of Tuil and they were on their backs:
Rutter:
Jorgensen:
The turn... . The river:
"Yes!" Rutter said sharply as his Jack became part of a straight and he avoided the pre-bubble elimination spot.
Reynald Zrnjevic gave it a good fist pump, after he doubled up with against Paul Bennazar's .
Tensions that were no doubt mounting on Zrnjevic's behalf were eased when the board came .
Zrnjevic went up to 90,000 and Bennazar drops to 135,000
Holy coolers, Batman!
A massive three-way scrum ended up with Stephane Albertini, Nicolas Babel and Per Linde putting all their chips in preflop.
Albertini:
Babel:
Linde:
The board came (which pretty much got Albertini and Babel standing up) . Linde had both the other two covered and jumps to a handy 450,000 as a result.

Fabrice Tuil has fired out 15,500 on a flop and Quinn Sivage made the call before both checked the turn. Tuil then fired out 35,000 on the river and Sivage folded.
Tuil showed for a bluff, but it's possible it was the best hand.
A commotion rose up on the turn and players and press crowded round Fabrice Tuil as he made a call for his tournament life. The board stood and Iulian Iacob checked to Tuil, who bet 60k. Then Iacob suddenly announced all-in, a very large bet indeed. Call from Tuil and they showed, for the moment only, the same hand, a broadway straight.

The river brought a loud, "OOOOH" and a flush - .
Tuil up to 500k or so, and Iacob loses his position as a dominant stack for the first time in 2 days.
