Theo Jorgensen tries the bluff - unsuccessfully however

The {5-Clubs} completed the board, and Quoss checked a third time. Jorgensen emptied the chamber, firing a third bullet worth 60,000, and Quoss instantly called.

Jorgensen tabled {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for ace-high, and Quoss turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for an ace-high flush.

Just Before Break...

Ekrem Sanioglu can't believe what happened
Ekrem Sanioglu can't believe what happened

Just before the break, Philipp Gruissem and Ekrem Sanioglu were heads up with the board reading {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Gruissem checked to Sanioglu, who bet 28,000. Gruissem check-raised to about 100,000.

"I am all-in," Sanioglu announced instantly.

Gruissem tanked and asked for a count.

"You have plenty of chips," Sanioglu said to Gruissem. "Call."

"I don't think I can fold," Gruissem admitted. "I am sorry if I suck out on you."

Gruissem called, and the hands were opened.

Gruissem: {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}
Sanioglu: {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}

The {3-Diamonds} was a brick, but the {7-Hearts} slammed on the river, giving Sanioglu a winning straight.

Sanioglu smacked the table in disappointment and is eliminated, while Gruissem is up to an impressive 930,000 chips.

Salsberg Busts Two, On Money Bubble

Matt Salsberg just eliminated Patrick Sacrispeyre and Antonio Subtil.

In the first hand, Salsberg had two queens agains Sacrispeyre's pocket tens. The queens held, and Sacrispeyre hit the rail.

A few hands later, Subtil was all in with {a-}{q-}. Salsberg held two tens this time, and they held, elimianting Subtil in 29th place.

We are now on the exact money bubble - only one play will go home without the €13,305 guaranteed for 27th place.

Doubles on the Bubble

Michael Kwierk doubles
Michael Kwierk doubles

On the first hand of hand-for-hand play, there were two all ins.

On one table, Michael Kwierk open-shoved with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, and was called by Raphaël Abitbol who had {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, and Kwierk doubled.

At another table, there was a massive all in between Joe Serock and Timothy Adams. After a series of preflop raises, about 340,000 was in the middle, and the two were racing.

Adam's {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} held against Serock's {a-Spades}{k-Spades} on the flop ({5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades}) and the turn ({9-Diamonds}), but the {k-Diamonds} spiked on the river, doubling Serock.
