Le Baron Rises

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Sebastien Le Baron is another player sitting with a big pile of chips. It seems he has also amassed all the pale green T25 chips from the table which are balanced in a comically large tower in front of him. Not only that, he just added to his pile when he bust .

Le Baron was in the blinds in a heads-up pot against Kremer. The flop was {2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Le Baron check-called a bet of 3,000. Kremer had 7,700 behind and when the turn came the {2-Spades} and Le Baron checked it all went in the middle.

Le Baron asked Kremer if he wanted a call and prevaricated for a short time after getting a non-committal answer. He did though make the call and Kremer showed his {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} which was losing to the flopped pair of Le Baron’s {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The river {9-Diamonds} sealed the deal and Le Baron added to his stack before giving an apologetic shrug and rising to shake the hand of Kremer who accepted the gesture with good grace.
