Fine Edges; Sitbon Busts

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

If your stack is short and you flop a pair you hope you’re in good shape but that wasn’t the case as Julien Sitbon found to his cost. It was three-way to a flop of {6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Johann Beaudet had bet 11,000 and Sitbon had moved all in. Back to the third player in the pot, Gregory Fournier, who moved all in. Beaudet thought it over for a while but let it go.

Sitbon had hit with his {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} but the two pair {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Fournier had him in trouble. A turn {a-Spades} and river {5-Hearts} sent Sitbon to the rail.
