Achiary Angry At Exit

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jean-Marc Achiary was all in and had been called in two spots including Stephan Ouzilou who was busy tidying up his big stack seemingly unconcerned as to what the board brought.

The two other players checked it down as Achiary looked on anxiously to discover his fate. The final board read {3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Ouzilou turned over his {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a flush. Achiary thumped the table angrily and didn’t want to show, throwin his cards face down at the board. The dealer turned over his {a-Spades}{8-Spades} and Achiary stormed off.

On the Bubble

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With 82 players left action has gone hand-for-hand as we wait to see who the unlucky player going home empty handed will be.

Double Ups

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

There have been a series of all in and calls, but so far they have all resulted in double ups for the all-in player as the tension mounts.

Noemie Phu Bubbles WPT National Paris

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Noemie Phu - Bubbles
Noemie Phu - Bubbles

Noemie Phu had suffered a setback while on the bubble earlier on calling an all-in with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} but the short stack player had {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. With a dwindling stack she opened from the cut-of and got called by the player on the button.

The flop was {q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Phu continued for 43,000 and got a call. On the turn card {6-Diamonds} Phu moved all in and was instantly called.

The dealer waited for the floor before asking the players to turn over their cards. It was bad news for Phu as her opponent had {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and she tuned over {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} for an open-ended straight draw.

The river however was the {9-Hearts} and Phu was eliminated.
