Six Hands With Ouzilou

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Stephan Ouzilou
Stephan Ouzilou

We thought we’d keep an eye on Stephan Ouzilou for a few hands to see how his table is playing.

Hand #1: The player on the button opens, the small blind shoves and Ouzilou folds the big blind. The shove gets through.

Hand #2: It folds round to Ouzilou in the small blind and he folds. Stephane Benadiba is short stacked in the big blind and he shakes his hand. Ouzilou gives him a kiss in return.

Hand #3: With an open to 24,000 and a three bet to 62,000 ahead of him Ouzilou folds and the three-bet gets through.

Hand #4: Ouzilou folds to a riase.

Hand #5: It folds to Ouzilou who makes it 30,000 and picks up one caller in the big blind. They check it all the way down to the river of a board reading {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. The player in the big blind spikes the river with his {q-Spades}{5-Spades} and takes the pot.

Hand #6: With an open to 25,000 and one call ahead of him Ouzilou makes the call as does one player behind. The flop is {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades} and with a check from the original raiser but a bet of 60,000 ahead of him Ouzilou folds and that ends the hand.

Not a ton of action there but it demonstrates Ouzilou is playing a patient considered game and is not ready to waste chips from his big stack unnecessarily.

Xu Three-Bets

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

An open to 34,000 saw Bruno Soutavong respond with a three-bet to 71,000. His opponent gave him a long hard stare but eventually he let him have it.

Soutavong had a tough day 2 but he is climbing the leader board again.

No Action For Amir

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Amir Israel opened for 50,000 from early position. Stephan Ouzilou in the small blind gave it some thought but let his hand go.

Israel ruefully twirled the two black {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. At a time when he desperately needed action no one else had a hand.
