Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Joep van den Bijgaart raised it up to 18,000 from early position, only to be forced to make it 20,000 not much later as the blinds had gone up. Small blind Sandro Pitzanti was the only caller.

Pitzanti check-called a bet of 18,000 on {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} without needing time to think. Both players checked the {A-Clubs} on the turn and the {5-Hearts} completed the board. Davies Pushing (His Luck)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Giacomo Fundaro raised it up to 22,000 and Sandro Pitzanti in the small blind made the call. Big blind Scott Davies pushed all in and Fundaro instantly folded. Pitzanti needed some more time, and asked if Davies wanted a call. "I run really good" Davies said with a smile. "But do you want a call?" Pitzanti repeated with a smile of his own. "I like to double up" Davies laughed. Pitzanti eventually folded, and Davies offered him to pick one card to show the world. Pitzanti turned over the {2-Clubs}! "Ok, I'll be on my best behavior from now on" Davies said with an even bigger smile.

The next hand Steve Warburton opened for 23,000 and Pitzanti called from the button. Small blind Davies shoved all in and everyone folded. No showing of cards this time. Davies plays 325,000 (33 big blinds).

The turn was the {3-Spades} and both players checked, after which the {J-Clubs} hit on the river.

Van Brugge checked again on the river, and Andersson bet 78,000.

"Call," Van Brugge announced right away, and Andersson mucked.

Scott Davies Eliminated in 16th Place (€10,200)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Scott Davies

Erik van den Berg (5 big blinds), Barrie Pietersz (10 big blinds), and Thierry van den Berg (12 big blinds) were all waiting for someone to bust, as there was a €1,800 bubble between 16th and 15th place. They were all hesitant to make a move, but they can now play freely again, as Scott Davies busted on the other table.

Giacomo Fundaro raised it up to 24,000 from the hijack and Sandro Pitzanti on the button made the call. Small blind Scott Davies shoved all in for 311,000 and Louis Salter folded his big blind. Fundaro tanked for a bit before he tossed in a single chip to call. Pitzanti looked up to the poker Gods, and folded.

Scott Davies: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Giacomo Fundaro: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Davies made his exit in 16th place. The remaining 15 players are guaranteed €12,000 from now on.

Erik van den Berg Doubles

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Erik van den Berg shoved all in from early position on Thierry van den Berg's big blind. Everyone folded to the six big blind shove, including shorty Van den Berg who showed {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The next hand big blind Kees van Brugge warned Van den Berg not to do it again, but Erik van den Berg didn't listen. He shoved all in under the gun for 81,000 and action folded to Fredrik Andersson. The Swede asked how much it was, and then three-bet to 144,000 from the hijack. It wasn't a legitimate raise, but as everyone else folded it wasn't a problem.

Fredrik Andersson: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Erik van den Berg: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Van den Berg didn't hit on the flop, but the {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} flop brought some possibilities to win the hand anyway. The {5-Spades} on the turn was a blank, but the {10-Clubs} on the river wasn't. "Yes!" said Barrie Pietersz, Van den Berg's friend at the table. Van den Berg made his straight and could sit down again, Andersson still has a sizable stack to work with.

Thierry van den Berg
Thierry van den Berg

Jason Wheeler raised to 22,000 and Sorel Mizzi three-bet to 52,000 after which Thierry van den Berg moved all in for 109,000. The action folded back to Mizzi, who made the call.

Van den Berg: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Mizzi: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

"This is only the second time I've been all in this whole tournament, please let me win a flip," Van den Berg said.

The flop brought {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Mizzi said, "There's one for you."

On the turn the {J-Diamonds} hit, but the river spelled disaster when the {5-Spades} crushed Van den Berg's dreams.

"Oh come one!" Van den Berg cried out, as he jumped out of his seat.

"Another two-outer! Unreal!" Van den Berg added as he left the tournament room extremely disappointed.

"He's for sure the unluckiest guy in poker," Mizzi said with a smile, as he felt sorry and happy at the same time we presume. Van den Berg exits in 15th place and just 14 players remain.

Jason Wheeler raised to 22,000 and Kees van Brugge called after which Barrie Pietersz moved all in for 187,000. Wheeler tanked for a little while but in the end he folded, and Van Brugge called.

Pietersz: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Van Brugge: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Pietersz shouted out some profanities out of disappointment, as the dealer brought out the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and the river the {8-Diamonds}, knocking Pietersz out in 14th place. The Dutchman stormed out of the room cursing, while Van Brugge quietly raked in the chips.

Pitzanti Takes a Big One

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Giacomo Fundaro made it 23,000 under the gun and Sandro Pitzanti in the hijack three-bet to 60,000. Action folded back to Fundaro and he four-bet to 144,000. This didn't scare away Pitzanti in the least, he made the call.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Fundaro checked. Pitzanti made a bet of 100,000 and Fundaro called. The {8-Spades} hit the turn and both players checked. Fundaro bet out a mere 47,000 on the {10-Clubs} river. Pitzanti slid forward two 100,000 stacks and made it 200,000. Fundaro glanced at his cards one more time, and folded.
