Zoubir Mahi was all in and at risk for about 20,000 and Frederico Dos Santos had looked him up.
Zoubir Mahi:
Frederico Dos Santos:
Mahi needed to catch up and did just that as the flop came . However, despite flopping his three-outer, Mahi stood up and appeared to get ready to walk away from the table. The turn and river were safe and Mahi could sit back down.
"You're standing up when you're ahead?" asked 'arce'.
"It's a free country, I can do whatever I want to do," Mahi sternly said, and a smiling 'arce' had no response to that.

Tobias Peters is functioning on three-and-a-half hours of sleep today, as the Dutchman played into the wee hours of the morning to conquer the 4,500 MAD 8-Max (around €410/$500) that played down until a winner. Peters won 120,000 MAD (appr. $13,000) in that side event and scored a Moroccan flag for the Hendon Mob, his goal before travelling to Marrakech.
In the Main Event, Peters faced a 15,500 bet from Kamel Amrane on a board and called it off. His opponent showed for a full house and Peters mucked, slipping to 77,000.

Amina Benkirane raised it up from under the gun and found callers in start-of-the-day chipleader Kamel Atoui in late position and Jean Montury in the small blind. Picking up the action on a turn, it was Atoui who bet 6,000. Montury check-raised to 20,000, Benkirane shoved for 32,000, Atoui called, and Montury could only overcall despite wanting to shove himself.
The completed the board and now Montury could shove for 53,000. Atoui snap-called the shove.
Jean Montury:
Amina Benkirane:
Kamel Atoui:
It was a dream situation for Montury, who held the nut straight against the two lesser straights to soar to 200,000.

Antonio Alves Mendes raised to 4,000 in middle position, 'Prw' three-bet to 12,000 behind him and Mohamed El Berrak cold-called from the big blind. Alves four-bet shoved 67,000, 'Prw' snap-called all in for 53,000, and El Berrak also called instantly, covering both players.
Antonio Alves Mendes:
