The Paul Snead Comeback

Paul Snead limped in from middle position, Chris MacNeil moved all in from the big blind and Snead called. It was a classic race situation, with Snead's {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} going up against MacNeil's {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The final board was {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and MacNeil was eliminated while Snead dragged the pot.

Sixes and Sevens

Ashley Mayhew moved all in from UTG and Brian Fitzpatrick called. Mayhew held 6-6 while Fitzpatrick had a 4-1 advantage with 7-7. The flop was the {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, the turn was the {7-Diamonds}, giving Fitzpatrick a lock on the hand with a set of sevens. The river was the {6-Hearts}, making an inferior set for Mayhew and he headed to the rail.

Snead's Stack Continues to Grow

Paul Snead raised to 12,000 from UTG, Jim Wheatley moved all in for 35,000 from the big blind, and Snead called. Snead turned up A-A while Wheatley held 9-9. The flop was T-9-8 and Wheatley took the lead, hitting his set. The turn was a four, but the river was an ace, giving Snead the higher set and eliminating Wheatley.

Snead was up to 260,000 after the hand.

Brandi Hawbaker Eliminated

Brandi Hawbaker limped in from late position, Chris Shubert moved all in from the button and Hawbaker called. Hawbaker flipped up the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} while Shubert tabled the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Shubert hit a king on the flop to win the pot and cripple Hawbaker.

On the very next hand, Hawbaker moved all in from middle position with {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and ran into Matt Shepsky's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. No miracle for Brandi on the board and she was eliminated.
