The State of Play at the Moment

Play has slowed right down. The room has cleared out, and there are only two tables remaining in this event.

Table 7:

Michael Wehner - 180,000
Jeffrey Vanchiro - 68,000
Dewey Tomko - 52,000

Table 8:

Amnon Filippi - 160,000
Jared Davis - 140,000

The Amazon room is currently as cold as ice. We suggest any player planning on going deep during this year's WSOP bring some gloves, a jacket and beanie, or suffer the wrath of the "Vegas Flu."

Doug Baughman Makes it Through

Doug Baughman raises to 9,000 with the {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and is called by Andrew Garcia with {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

The flop is huge, coming {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

Doug bets out, Andrew moves all in and Doug makes the call.

The turn {A-Spades} and river {Q-Diamonds} change nothing and Baughman is through to the final table!

Brendan Lee Through to the Final Table!

Brendan Lee is the small blind (button) and raises to 11,500 and Jack Rosenfeldt moves all in for 80,500 in total.

Lee makes the call and opens {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.
Rosenfeldt has {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

The flop is {2-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} giving Lee top pair.

The turn and river don't improve Rosenfeldt, and Brendan Lee is headed for final table glory!

Negreanu Through to Final Table!

A new look Daniel Negreanu
A new look Daniel Negreanu
With a 5-1 chip lead heads-up, Daniel Negreanu moves in with A-10 and Rob Hollink calls with A-8.

The board does not improve either player, Hollink is eliminated in 16th position and Daniel Negreanu is on his way to the final table.

Elated with qualifying, Daniel jokes: "How do you like the 5-1 now?" (In reference to some prop bets he made about winning a bracelet this year)

Negreanu Eliminates Capello

Daniel Negreanu and Joe Capello play another pot. The money goes in with Daniel holding A-K and Joe showing A-4.

A king on the turn seals the deal; Joe is headed for the rail and Daniel is heads-up with Rob Hollink for the final table. The chip counts are:

Rob Hollink - 42,000
Daniel Negreanu - 258,00

Daniel Takes Down a Nice Pot

On a board reading Q-8-3-8-4, Daniel Negreanu makes a big bet into a big pot. Joe Capello goes into the tank and eventually folds K-8 face-up.

Daniel smiles and shows him pocket threes for a full house.

Erick Lindgren Makes the Final Table!

Brandon Schaefer moves all in for 17K with {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Erick Lindgren makes the call from the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

The board reads {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} giving both players a straight, but Lindgren wins with the top end of it and is on his way to the final table tomorrow!
