John Racener
John Racener
After a flop of {2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} John Racener bet out 250, the cut-off called, the button pushed all-in for 2,650, Racener called all-in for 1,025 and the cut-off player folded. Racener was out front with the {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a flopped set. But his opponent had a flush and straight draw with the {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The turn and river came {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Racener hit quads! After the hand, Racener was up to 3,500.

Everybody's Crazy 'Bout a Sharp Dressed Man

Marcel "The Flying Dutchman" Luske is not shying away from any attention. The Amsterdam native was spotted in his trademark suit and tie, sunglasses, and as always, leaning a little too far back in his chair. Luske seems quite content in today's event, chit-chatting with passers-by and his tablemates. He hasn't begun to serenade anyone yet though. Perhaps he's saving that for the later levels?

John Racener Hits Runner-Runner Wheel Straight

John Racener is catching some cards today. After a flop of {5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{K-Hearts} a player bet 300 from late position, Racener called from the small blind, the big blind pushed all-in for 1,250, the late-position player folded and Racener called. Racener was behind when he showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades} against {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. But Racener caught runner-runner {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the wheel straight to take the pot and knock out his opponent.

"The Shark" Takes His Seat

Humberto Brenes

A new batch of alternates just filled table 313 and amongst them were a couple famous faces. "The Unabomber" Phil Laak and Costa Rican sensation Humberto Brenes are both seated at this table. The folks at ESPN wasted no time interviewing Brenes and his now famous "shark" card protector. The interview was short and sweet and Brenes was playfully comedic as always. The rest of the table, including Mr. Laak, seemed relatively uninterested.
