Tony Korfman Doubles Up

On the button Rod Clarida raised to 200,000 and Tony Korfman moved all-in for 55,000 more. Clarida made the call with K-4, Korfman had A-Q and flopped an Ace to give him the pot. That hand doubled him up to 560K and dropped Clarida's stack down to the same amount.

Leon Lewis Is Eliminated in 6th Place

Ernest Bennett raised to 100K under the gun and Leon Lewis moved all-in for 170,000 more from the small blind. Bennett called and showed {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, while Lewis held {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

The {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades} flop gave Bennett a pair and Lewis a gutshot draw, but the {3-Diamonds} and {5-Hearts} fell on the turn and river and that was enough to end Lewis's day. He wins $47,953 for his sixth-place finish. And Bennett increased his chip lead to 1,350,000.

Color Up

The yellow 1,000 chips are coming off the table, and once that's done we'll be going on a 15-minute break. So we'll resume play around 5pm PDT.

Thomas Catanzaro Doubles Up

The short stacks keep doubling up. This time it was Catanzaro, who moved all-in from the big blind after Ernest Bennett raised to 195K from the cutoff. Bennett had J-10, Catanzaro pocket Sixes, and the {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} didn't connect with Bennett. He now has 1,200,000 chips, while Catanzaro doubled up to 520,000.

Aces Again

While under the gun Tony Korfman raised to 60K and Thomas Catanzaro and Ernest Bennett called. From the big blind Rod Clarida moved in for 470K more, which induced Korfman and Catanzaro to fold.

Bennett arranged the chips he needed to call and positioned them beside his cards. He thought it over, but decided to toss his cards in the middle instead of pushing in his chips. Clarida slapped his pocket Aces on the table and said that he wanted a call. Bennett said he folded pocket Sixes and, who knows, "There could've been a six on the flop!". Clarida will have to be content with his 700,000 stack.
